Let your horse take you across the Cardrona River while keeping a keen eye out for gold along the way! Learn about the gold rush that Cardrona experienced in the 1860s which gave way to farming which you will experience first hand as you ride through mobs of Merino sheep. High Country Pub Trail

Mount up and begin the big hill climb which soon gives way to spectacular views of the surrounding mountains of the Crown and Pisa ranges. The working Merino sheep farm land turns to rugged rock and tussock country as you climb higher to get that even better photo opportunity. Really feels like you are on top of the world in the middle of nowhere! Intermediate to advanced riders.

River Run Kids/Family Quad Bike Tour

This tour is designed for families with young children riding the little bikes or as passengers in the 4x4 off-road buggy. Spend a fun-filled hour following the mighty Cardrona River, weaving between massive Willow trees, fringing swamplands, dodging old dredging sites and gold mine shafts from the 1860's gold rush. Ride up the gullies to a reveal an awesome 360 degree view taking in Mount Cardrona, the Snow Farm, Wanaka and the surrounding farmland. A variety of bikes available for all ages from 6 years and up, those under the age limit can participate as passengers in the “Viking” 6 seater off-road buggy driven by one of the guides.
